This week we speak to Celebrity Treasure Island host, Bree Tomasel!

Obsessed RN.

Currently bingeing:

Currently, I’m bingeing season 2 of Heartstopper on Netflix - it’s wholesome and heartwarming and I would say even better than the first season.. haha and that never happens!

Song on repeat:

The song I currently have on repeat is really random but I’m so entranced by the Fifa Women’s World Cup so I’m loving the song “Bring It On” that Tones And I did especially for the tournament.

Favourite Insta account to follow:

My current celebrity obsession is @michellebuteau - you might recognise her as the host of the Netflix show The Circle or her comedy drama ‘Survival Of The Thickest’. She’s a comedian, hilarious and beautiful - such good vibes!

Must have beauty product:

My current must have beauty product is a simple gel cleanser from Ultraceuticals… why did I ever live my life without a make up remover gel cleanser. Also an SPF 50+ moisturiser that you put on under your make up is a must have!!

The item of clothing I’m definitely over wearing:

The item of clothing I’m definitely over-wearing atm is any matching set! Dissh have some amazing ones that always stand out, look great and you feel fancy (even though a lot of them have an elastic waist band).

Currently reading:

I’ll be honest, I don’t do all that much reading but a book I have picked up is Toni Street’s Lost and Found. It’s raw, emotional and honest!

Snacking on:

Currently my favourite snack I can’t get enough of is edamame beans, boil them up for a couple of minutes, soy sauce and chilli flakes - delicious!

Can’t stop watching on TikTok:

One TikToker I just can’t get enough of atm would have to be @ayame.p , she is absolutely hilarious!

Next place on the list to travel to:

The next place on my travel list is EUROPE BABAYYY.. along with every other kiwi haha. My Dad is Italian and I’ve never been so I thought it’s about time - I’ll do a week in Italy with my parents and then meet up with my partner in Spain!

Dreaming of:

I am currently dreaming of my first ever trip to Europe, I think by the time this article will be out I will be living out my hot girl summer in Italy!

I’m currently inspired by:

I’m currently inspired by The Women’s Fifa World Cup, how can you not be?! Whoever said women’s sport wouldn’t put bums on seats was completely wrong. Breaking records for crowds in Aotearoa and Australia, it’s amazing to see women compete at the top level, bringing in huge crowds and inspiring the next generation!

My favourite way to relax is:

My favourite way to relax is by cooking without a recipe, I love it.. probably my Italian roots coming thru!

I stay healthy by:

I stay healthy by walking my dogs everyday - we try and do at least a 5km loop. It makes me happy seeing them happy and it gets me out of the house everyday.

When I was younger…

One thing I love about Gen-Z is:

One thing I love about Gen-Z is their ability to innovate and create.

If I could give my teenage self one bit of advice, what would it be:

If I could give my teenage self one piece of advice, it would be to try and not worry so much about what other people think, that or stop putting your dam face in the sun - and wear sunscreen everyday!

My dream job as a teen was:

My dream job as a teen was either to be a professional athlete or a radio broadcaster. One of them worked out..

My favourite part of being a teenager was:

My favourite thing about being a teenager was how new and exciting everything was, and having less adult responsibilities!

Best piece of advice I ever received as a teen was:

Don’t hold in your farts, it’ll make you sick

My first job was:

My first job was working on my family’s apple orchard, picking and packing fruit. I never once got paid, but my Dad says he paid me in “electricity” *eye roll*.

My biggest fashion faux-pas was:

My biggest fashion faux-pas when I was a teen was definitely the mullet pony tail hairstyle (if you know you know) or wearing a belt with skirts or pants that didn’t have belt loops *face palm*.

My biggest inspiration was:

My biggest inspiration when I was young had to be Cathy Freeman - I still remember exactly where I was and what it felt like watching her win the 400m at the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
