How to sport the right shoe.

Did you know when it comes to sports shoes, it’s not one size fits all?

Shoe brands now spend countless hours on research and development to create the perfect shoe for every different type of movement.

For example, the movement that a running shoe is designed for is very different from that of a netball or football shoe.

So it’s super important that when you are buying new sports shoes, you buy them for their intended purpose so that your feet stay comfortable and your ankles safe (and not rolled/broken!).

PUMA New Zealand have helped Billie identify the best types of shoes for every type of fitness so you can be your sporty best!

Running.

Deviate NITRO 2 Running Shoes.

It’s the max cushion, max performance running shoe that makes going faster even easier. The update includes NITRO Elite foam for improved responsiveness, a reworked collar to reduce heel slip, and a lighter, asymmetrical base that works better with your body across all distances – be it short runs, marathons, and even ultras.

Crossfit/Gym.

PWRFRAME TR 2 Training Shoes.

Set the foundation for a great workout with the PWRFRAME TR 2. It has a new, improved upper over v1 and PWRFRAME technology in the forefoot that provides support and stability through explosive movement. Think squats, lunges, weight lifting - you are sorted!

Netball.

Accelerate Turbo Nitro II W+ Shoes.

The Accelerate Turbo Nitro II W+, designed for wingers and attackers, boosts your speed and propels you to new heights. It features NITRO foam for enhanced cushioning and propulsion, and the new engineered SPEEDMESH+ upper with PWRTAPE guarantees multi-directional movement stability.

Walking.

ForeverRun NITRO Running Shoes.

The ForeverRun NITRO dawns a new era of support and guidance for all runners and walkers, providing the softness of a full NITRO midsole without compromising stability. It features a newly developed NITRO midsole with two different densities – a softer core with a firmer rim – and an asymmetrical heel counter to hold the foot in place through every stride. The theme also continues on the outsole, thanks to a wider medial rubber segment stabilising late-stage pronation. In short, it's the perfect blend of support and cushion.

Basketball.

MB.02 Unisex Basketball Shoes.

The perfect shoe for hitting the court. It has a NITRO Infused midsole that takes you high above the rim, a non-slip rubber outsole to help you cut to the basket, and a whole load of flair that makes you stand out even more on the court.

Football.

FUTURE ULTIMATE FG/AG Football Boots.

The FUTURE is back, and so are the back-heels, stepovers and no-look passes. Inspired by Neymar Jr.’s playing style, the reengineered mid-cut construction combines fit and agility so you can create without constraints throughout the 90 minutes. The FUZIONFIT360 dual mesh upper features supplemental PWRTAPE support for an even more adaptive, even more supportive fit. Stable at the heel and flexible at the forefoot, the second-generation Dynamic Motion System outsole provides traction and agility for unpredictable changes of direction.

Swimming/Yoga.

Fluff Women's Slide.

Give your feet the rest they deserve with the Fluff slide. Whether it’s before or after swimming, on the way to yoga or just after a long workout. Soft synthetic covers the single strap and footbed, an EVA outsole makes them suitable for wear both in and out of the house, and the repeated PUMA wordmark gives them a subtle sporty edge.
